I need help with Kazoos!

Leah, on February 1, 2011 at 12:40 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 4

I'm planning on having kazoos at my wedding ceremony. Not to hum a song on but in place of throwing rice, blowing bubbles, etc. Kind of like a round of applause as we walk back down the aisle. My ceremony and reception are at the same location so there won't really be a receiving line or anything. The kazoos will have an inscription on them. I don't know what to write on them! I want to somehow let guests know the hum after the "big kiss." So far this is my idea:

-Write our names and date on kazoo, put kazoos in hanging container at the end of each aisle, container will say something along the lines of "hum us happy wishes after the big kiss!" or something to that nature.

What else could I write in the kazoo container to let guest know when to use them? Assistance or fresh ideas of any kind are greatly appreciated! I can expand on what I'm thinking if I haven't explained clearly enough :oP

You could always have a some friends/ushers inform guest to take a kazoo on their way in too. Perhaps put it in the program (if you are having one?)

Thanks! I like the idea of putting it in the program. I think that would work swell!

I think you can cue the guests to use your kazoos by having your officiant whip it out as you exit and get it started. Let your bridal party/family know. The rest of the guests will follow.

I think you can have them in a basket next to the programs on the way in.

As far as the inscription- I'd have to think about it.

If the wedding party starts up with the kazoos during your big kiss, everyone else will get the idea and join in. Just be mindful that kids who get a kazoo might start playing during the middle of the ceremony.
