SparkPeople.com. It is free and will help you lose weight and get in shape safely. Remember, the faster you lose it, the faster you'll gain it back. You didn't gain it overnight and you're not going to lose it overnight.

Cardio is the fastest way to loose weight (ie running) along with cutting back on sugar and eating healthy.

I really like Crunch's Belly Butt and Thighs Boot Camp for toning the lower body. P90X is also supposed to be really effective. My friend is almost at the end of her first 30 days and she's lost 10lbs. It's a 90 day program, I think.

Diet, diet, diet...its so important. Monitor your caloric intake. Decreasing carbs is good but we NEED carbs...the good kind like whole grains and those in veggies like sweet potatoes. If you really stick to your diet and exercise you can def see a change... Also, my secret weapon is gonna be Spanx!!!!

I really like the Jillian DVDs..besides 30 day shred I also like Boost your Metabolism..but those are haaard..the first time through make sure you stop a lot just to get the gist of the moves and the pace..always listen to your body but still push yourself, but don't overdo it..Also a lot of ladies on here love Zumba..I'm getting my dvds from my local library on tuesday after being on a long wait list. I can't wait! :-)

You could try the HCG (?) diet. My maid of honor swore by it and she did lose weight and kept it off. I am not 100% sold on it but apparently you can lose a pound a day so if it gets down to it you may want to look into it.

I'm doing weight watchers, I just (re)started this week, but in the past I always had success with it. The new program is really neat, and I find much healthier than in the past. It is lower carbs and fat, and higher protein and fibre, so people can't get away with eating low cal/low fat foods that have basically no nutritional value, ike they could in the past, especially with those "100 calorie" snacks. I don't feel hungry or deprived at all like on other "diets". Don't do the silly "cleanse/liquid/fad" diets, they aren't healthy and they don't last. Whatever you do, make sure it is sustainable, you will keep it off longer if it is a lifestyle change rather than a diet that only lasts long enough for you to take off the weight.

The only reason the HGC diet works is because along with taking the stupid little drops- you are restricted to a 500 calorie a day diet of mostly fruits. I would not recommend anyone doing it. Your body needs calories- around 1,500 a day for woman.

Eat right and make sure you do at least 30 min of exercise a day. even if it's not hard core running, a 30 min walk around the block can help. the more you exercise and the more muscle you have the faster your metabolism gets.

you can also you the foodpyramid.gov to help track what your eating and how much your exercising. it can then tell you what your missing in your diet, and how much weight you should gain/loose if you kept your diet and exercise routine the same.

Someone here recommended "the 17 day diet" so i decided to buy the book. i started 3 days ago and already lost 2 pounds. it is a great book and easy to follow. in the beginning of the month, i have already started to eat clean(veggies, fruits, chicken, lean beef and fish) and exercise 6 days a week for at least 45 minutes and 1 day rest. so i have lost a total of 10 pounds. it's hard work, because at times i feel like not eating healthy nor exercising but it's so rewarding and i feel so great...lots of energy.

@Shellie, ya..it's kinda starting to concern me, I've seen several brides on here recommending the HGC to other brides on here, just giving them info about how much weight so and so lost. when in reality the FDA hasn't approved it for that purpose.

@mdyblue- congrats! yay for diet and exercise diets! :-)

Whatever you do, make sure it's HEALTHY.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to lose more than 2lbs of FAT a WEEK.

Everything else is muscle or water.

It will take time, but just be persistent! You have a little less than a year, so you should be able to make some pretty good progress in that time! No fad diets!

I LOVe sparkpeople.com!! Great site and the ladies are correct, it takes time and effort. If thee were something 'magical' or 'easy' none of us would have any weight to lose! Just remember to stay positive and just because you have a bad day and eat wrong doesn't mean it's over. Give yourself a break and start fresh the next day. Less calories in + exercise = weight loss

Secondly,u should take some exercise, such as running, swimming and so on.Lastly, u must stick with all these ways.Good luck to you. You'll be the most beautiful bride at your wedding.

I second (or eight at this point) sparkpeople.com. They have food and excersize tracking tools that make things very simple. They offer routines and you can even use google maps to track the number of calories you burned on a jog (just remember your start and finish time). Please don't do the hgc diet. The hormone is not approved by the fda as a healthy longterm diet aid (its a pregnacy hormone btw) and the eating plan is a starvation diet. Just take things in moderation and remember that no matter what size you are on your wedding day you will be a glowing bride.

I've never gone on a diet, but what I eat daily is very similar to weight watchers. Basically I eat foods that speed up the metabolism and exercise maybe twice a week. Also, drink more water than an elephant, seriously! At first I had to be more strict most with what I ate and exercise a lot. Now, I just maintain at my perfect weight and shape.

Whatever you do don't get discouraged. A good way is to not weigh yourself when you feel bloated, but rather go for a run and drink a huge glass of water then weigh yourself the next day. Focus on what makes you happy.

    Good luck!
