I decided to check on our registry, make sure nothing was discontinued and what not (and maybe to see if our family freind bought us anything, yes, I know, naughty me..) He (or someone) bought us the $170 knife block and set..This may sound weird but I was hoping that if the family freind (from Germany) bought us anything, it wouldn't be one of the pricier items, because then I would (and do) feel guilty as they won't be att the wedding..Anyone else get pangs of guilt while stallking their registry?

I am not feeling guilty that I got everything I really wanted off mine... no matter the price. A few friends may have gone together like some of mine did to get a large item.

    We are not registering anywhere,

I am moving in with him in 25 days, and getting married next september 2011.

I have just released two truck loads full of items to a local charitable organization who is having a charity garage sale in 2 weeks, and i"m still not done. We are combining two fully WELL equipped households into one, we don't need anything, and if there is something we want, we surely have the financial means to go get it.

We are focusing on ensuring our guests have a wonderful memorable time at our wedding and that our wedding is the one they will talk about for years and years to come.

A few people have already asked if we will be registering somewhere and when we said no, they said perhaps we can get gift cards for home dept or something like that , as we are building a new deck, putting in a hot tub in the back yard..

I have three registries. One at Target which has 18 items, none of the items are over $100.00, one at Amazon which has 21 items, one of which is a $480 television but it's also our *most expensive* item on any registry we have, and I have 50(some double stuff) items on my Kohl's registry, I think I have a few things over $100 otherwise everything is $80-20 or less. I'm proud of myself for really only having things I need on there, not too many *want* items, but yes, I feel guilty. I already have thank you cards for showers (2 of them) and wedding -- and I know I'm going to put 100% effort into very personal thank yous, but I'm still awkward when getting gifts. I like to give more then receive. I love presents too but you get my point.
