i think my Makeup artist ghosted me

So I had my 1st makeup trial on January 28 and was suppose to have my 2nd makeup trial May 19th. I texted her to remind her about it a week before my 2nd trial and I didn’t get a response. I figured it’s not that important if she can’t make it as long as she makes it to my wedding. I still haven’t heard from her and my wedding is about 10 days away! Should I just try to find another makeup artist? 😬 I am thinking of asking my future sister-in-law to do my makeup...it’s stressing me out!

Yeah she ghosted you. I would find someone else. Only your in law if you like her makeup and know she can do well on others

Did you pay her anything? I think it’s safe to assume she’s not showing up on your wedding day.

Do you have a contract or deposit? I would call her for sure. Honestly if it were me, I'd probably call, text, and email to get a hold of her ASAP. If you didn't hear back by tomorrow night, I'd do everything you can to find someone else.

No we didn’t do a contract. She was a friend of a friend (who I trusted)

It's possible the text didn't go through on her end. This is wayyyy too important for a text... CALL her and leave a msg if she does not answer. After a few hours... move on if no response is received.

Hey, Katie- I'm so sorry this is happening! I scrolled through the comments and I'd say forget about this chick and find someone else! Obviously it's tough and short notice, but you definitely shouldn't just hope that she shows up on your wedding day. I'm usually all about giving people the benefit of the doubt...but not now, and not for this!
