i want to help my fiancée

So… I’ve never planned a wedding before and my brave fiancée wants to handle the whole thing. But she’s stressing a lot even though the wedding isn’t until February. I’d like to help her out, but I don’t know how. Any advice?

Thanks for your support. But I’m not sure what to put on the list. I put food, venue, and music.

Well you started a list! I would start with the venue. I personally did and I feel that helped a lot. Also that can play a part in food. My venue served food but there is some that don’t. Start with the venue and then go from there.

    Good morning,

I do understand the stress because my wedding is this October 2022 & I'm doing all the planning myself. Just gently ask if you can help take some of the stress off his/her plate. Or what can you do to assist to ease the load. At least you're concern about her stress & wanting to help because mine haven't asked to help me at all...

The first thing we did was deciding our budget. I knew that my family would contribute 10k, and his 5k. From there, we decided what felt like a reasonable amount from the two of us. We went on a shared excel sheet and assessed our weekly budgets and decided what we could ACTUALLY donate towards our wedding (realistically) each paycheck, and that helped us find a good number! After we picked our budget, we found the venue first because we knew it would be the most expensive. After that, we would just go down the list of what was most important to us.

    Venue - 3,400. (16,400 left)

    Photographer - 2,800 (13,600 left)

    Food - 3,500 (10,100 left)

etc etc. It helped us budget for the little stuff that wasn't as important, like favors, shoes, invites, etc.
