i was having a terrible day with wedding anxiety, but then i saw this picture.

I’ve seen a lot of posts about people not losing as much weight as they wanted to and I was one of them. Today was an especially awful day for wedding anxiety until I saw these two pictures next to each other. There’s about 25 pounds between the two - left is September 2018, right is last week. I knew I’d lost some weight, but it didn’t feel like enough until I saw the comparison.

It made my crappy day a little better, so I wanted to remind everyone else trying to lose weight that you’re doing better than you think!

You look great. Sometimes it's hard for us to see our own progress if it's not a lot. But any step we make is progress. You're beautiful and I hope you also feel good too. Sometimes we are own worst critics and can't quite see how good we are

Beautiful! We planned our wedding close so I didn’t have much time to lose weight like I really wanted to, then found a dress that fits me exactly. I’ve only lost 5 pounds. It bums me out a lot but at the same time I have lost 66 pounds in the last 2 years. Everyone around me sees the difference but me. Occasionally I look at picture like that^ and I feel so relieved. I have depression and anxiety so I go through months of not having any motivation. You’re doing so great! And you’re going to be one beautiful brideSmiley smile

I feel you so much on the anxiety and depression - that’s actually how I ended up at the weight on the left! Its just the worst. 66 pounds is so impressive!

Me too! Antidepressants made me gain so much weight very fast, it was weird. I’m so glad I stopped taking them even though it’s hard sometimes. Mental health is important but so is the rest. Thank you! I still have a long way to go honestly I just hope I can do it!

Same here! Prozac made me put on 40 pounds in 9 months and it didn’t even really help with the depression/anxiety - it was awful. I switched to Wellbutrin last October and I’m so glad I did. Keep on doing what you’re doing!

It was cymbalta and symbyax for me! Not only did they make me gain another me symbyax actually made me extremely suicidal and gave me horrific hallucinations. I was hospitalized. They then put me on something else and it made me feel like a zombie. Nothing really helped me I always had a negative side effect, my FH talked me into quitting in 2017 just to see how it feels and it was really hard for several months. I got on Wellbutrin after a while they said it wouldn’t make me gain weight etc,. But I even stopped taking that because of something my dad said about depending on medications. I haven’t taken anything since. Some days are terrible but, most of the time I’m able to enjoy myself. I’m glad you’re happy with your decision to switch! Congrats on the weight loss and the mister right😊
