Ice cream truck?

Thoughts? There's this super cute vintage truck and they dress in 1950's uniforms. We really wanted fresh scooped ice cream, but they only do local artisan sandwhiches/bars. Would this be too tacky/cheap? (It's not cheap though lol). I just love the idea of this, and they have Vegan and GF options....

We went to a wedding a few years ago that they did this. The wedding reception was in a barn and they had bbq, very casual. It was a huge hit, everyone loved it especially since it was hot out

This is so cute! Is it instead of a cake? I totally love that they have vegan AND gluten free options, as well..... I'd be the unfortunate and yet totally excited soul asking for one that's both at the same time.

Is there something that FI would prefer? Is there a way to compromise and do both?

Thanks everyone! We decided to book it We are also having a cake (I didn't really want one), a family friend is a wedding cake baker and really wanted to make us one. I think it will look pretty on a table (and will make my mom happy), but the ice cream allows for everyone to eat something sweet.

I like it. I think it's different and memorable. I think food trucks at a wedding are super cute and allow people to get a little snack once the dinner is over. We're trying to see options for food trucks at ours too for our late night snack!

I like it - especially the vintage truck and uniforms!! I definitely err on the side of staying away from tacky stuff for weddings, I don't usually even like those late night fast food/taco trucks you'll see people having, but I think your idea is firmly on the classy side.
