Ideas for centerpiece scatter

Natalie, on August 5, 2017 at 11:19 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9

So I'm DIYing my centerpieces like most on here. Ivory linens with navy table runners. I'll have a short vase with pink and white flowers, 2 front/back frames that I've painted pink (one with pics and one with table number), and I think I need some scattered something to fill up empty space. I've been trying to think of some different ideas for what to use but I'm stuck. I've also thought about using tea light candles around it all but again, not sure and like options. I don't have a pic available right now or I would post it. TIA for ideas!

We are using small voltive candles that are silver speckled to fill some spaces and small succulents

I think candles would look great. Small silver votives maybe?

A few votives (3) would be pretty and add sparkle and light. Mercury glass in a pink tone would be perfect. If you think it's too much pink, use silver.

If you are referring to scattering something like petals, pearls etc, I wouldn't go there. It's always an odd look when the petals on the table don't match the ones in the vase (where did they supposedly fall from?) and it is a dated look.

Um, I could be wrong but I don't think most people here are doing their own centerpieces...

Thanks everyone! @Celia I've just seen a lot of posts lately about people asking opinions on their centerpiece projects so that's where that came from. I'm not doing my flowers but am everything else.

I'm gonna be using "just married" table confetti. It also has little hearts. I got on Amazon and they have many colors

I am using these string lights from Kohl's around my centerpieces. Maybe something like this could give the appearance of filling space?

Most people here aren't doing their own centerpieces.

    Inspiration pics? Trial runs?

We're doing our own centerpieces and to fill he space, we're adding votive candles and sea shells (beach wedding). I think flower petals would work in your case
