Ideas on decorating margarita glasses?????

Shannon, on February 17, 2012 at 4:32 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 3

FH and I are supplying the alcohol for the reception and we have decided to have margaritas and beer. My venue only supplies the glasses for the water, tea, and coffee. I was OK with the guest drinking beer out of "fancy" plastic cups but I wanted to have margarita glasses, not plastic. I want to decorate the glasses and offer them as favors. If people take them, great, if not that is ok also. I don't want to put our names or the date on them because I don't think anyone would want to take them home and reuse them. I thought maybe adding some "love" quotes with clear labels but I don't think those will last....I have tried searching online but I am far from the crafty kinda person...Any suggestions would be great!!!

I say just add a glass charm on them and let that serve as a favor.

What if you put something like candy or packets of dry margarita mix inside the glass?

Another idea is to dip the bottom of the glasses in chalkboard paint and write each guest's name on it (or a quote or something) with chalk. I've seen pics of this done with wine glasses...no reason you couldn't do it with margarita glasses!

Thanks ladies...I love both ideas. I am actually looking online right now for charms and the chalkboard paint....
