Ideas on our teenage sons walking down the aisle

Elizabeth, on June 6, 2021 at 11:23 AM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 3

We are finally getting marry and I would like to know how can I include both of our teenage sons in our ceremony. They are 14 and 15 years old. They are both of our sons. We have a BM and MOH. My mom and brother are walking me down the aisle. We are not having a bridal party. We are just having our sons walk down and both hold our rings. Just want to see if there is any other ideas?

I'd just have them walk in the processional. You can ask them whether they'd like to stand up with you at the ceremony or sit down and wait until you need to rings to get up and give them to you. They can walk down in the "ring bearers" spot, I'd say.

If you want to ask them if they'd be comfortable doing a reading or something, you definitely can. Other than that, having them walk in the processional and hold onto the rings is a good way to include them.

I think having them walk down the aisle as ring bearers is a good idea. Unlinke younger children, they can handle the responsibility of having the real rings.

They could be your ushers! Or they could just be included in the processional and honored as family members. Smiley heart
