Identical Bridesmaids Dresses - Do or Ditch?

Different bodies require different dresses. Our bridesmaids chose their own styles.

If they match, it’ll be an accident xD I’m letting them pick. I only have 1 BM and 1 MoH so it’s not a huge deal.

I went with "do." I have 3 girls, different bodies, each tried it on and looked amazing in the dress, and told me they felt beautiful in it. And I bought the dresses for them. Two of them are already planning on wearing them again. Yay!


That was an unlikely outcome though. Normally I'd say ditch it. Pick a color, fabric, length, and company. Let your girls do the rest.

We ditched this. Our bridesmaids chose their own dresses.

Kind of doing but kind of ditching... my girls are all choosing their own dresses. 2 of the 3 girls decided they liked a similar design, one is strapless, the other is halter top. We showed both dresses to the 3rd girl and she decided she liked the same design but that dress is spaghetti strap. I didn’t want to force them into a dress that they didn’t like.

I chose the color, they each chose their own dresses. Everyone feels comfortable in something different and I didn't want to make anyone wear anything they weren't comfortable in.

My bridesmaids all have different body types so we are going with different and I think it gives it a little more a theme.

Ditch. Just the same color.

Ditch. I don't thing identical dresses are necessary!

Ditching. If we have any, it will be one maid of honour, so she'll be wearing her own dress.

I am doing. I am lucky in that I only have 2 and they like the same dresses so far online so we will see when we start trying them on.

Kinda ditching, kinda doing. We went with peach infinity dresses so it's one dress- but everyone wearing it however they want to. And then my BM is wearing the same outfit as the groomsmen but with peach accents and the groomsmen will be in sage green accents. It worked out PERFECTLY. everyone can look their best and be comfortable since its may 31 and will probably be fairly hot by then. Plus they were WAY cheaper than the traditional options. Like 30 to 40 bucks a girl. All of them are excited to add the dress to their closet for future use as well!!

While I do like the matching look, I let the girls choose their own dress that they felt most comfortable in.

So we were extremely lucky and found an amazing dress that all 5 of my girls loved, and it is extremely flattering on all of them! They all chose this as their number 1 pick, so that is what we went with!

Dress is David's Bridal F19951 in the color Marine for anyone wondering!

I asked them if the wanted to do the same dress or different. I showed them my favorite bridesmaid dress and they all fell in love with and decided to all wear the same dress.

Ditching!

I love the mismatched look; all of my ladies are in their own neutral color and style of dress.
