If you are wearing a cathedral veil are you changing later?

Maria, on June 29, 2011 at 9:18 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

I have along head to floor cathedral veil. I am only wearing it for the ceremony and then taking it off for the reception. At first I was just going to wear a rhinestone headpiece for the reception. Is anyone else doing something differnt for your reception headpiece?

I also have a cathedral veil. i'm going to wear it for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception, it can be bustled just like the train of a dress, but i dont want to risk catching it on something and tearing it. I'm thinking of getting a rhinestome and pearl headpiece to put in after the ceremony for the reception, havent found one i like yet, but thats my plan for now. I love my veil, but i dont want it getting on the way at the reception either.

I'll be wearing a cathedral veil also but I plan to take it off for the reception and I'm not planning on wearing any alternatives, I take it off, that's that, I'm not going to put something else on

I'm wearing a fingertip veil, and I still plan on taking it off at the reception and just keeping my sparkly hair comb in place

It's your day and you can do ANYTHING you want. There are no rules, just suggestions. Smiley smile

I am wearing a small birdcage veil with a flower pin. After the ceremony I will take off the veil and reposition the flower pin so it looks good on it's own.

If you want to have something on your head for the reception I think it would be lovely.

I wore a Cathedral veil for my wedding. That thing was very warm... I ended up ditching it as soon as pictures in the church were done. Luckily, I was changing hairstyles for the reception... so my hairstylist was at the ceremony and could just do a quick unpin for me. Left my hair a bit flat for pictures with family outside the church, but I was so much cooler...

I changed jewelry as well for the Ceremony & Reception... for the Ceremony I was doing white pearls and for the reception I did a fun blue and green flower and rhinestone set.

I don't have many pictures back yet of details, mostly group shots and such from family & friends' cameras. Here's the Cathedral veil and me getting it put on by my stylist Stephanie and my pearls

I sure am! I'm not wearing a cathedral veil, but a chapel veil. I made my own flower hair piece. I will probably go ahead and put my flower head piece in my hair before I put my veil on so I wont have to worry about it later.

I soooo wanted a cathedral veil, but FH said it would look silly for our 2min civil ceremony. Now that we have re-designed my gown, and added a sash with very long "tails" covered with crystals, I think he is right so I will just have my diy barrette in my hair. given a choice, I would def. do a veil. My seamstress is still trying to talk me into one.

I wore a chapel length veil...a little shorter than a cathedral veil. My photographer LOVED taking photos of it after the ceremony and as soon as we were introduced at the reception, on my BMs took it off for me and hung it up. My husband kept stepping on it! :-)
