So this is more a rant than anything else but I just found out that in Texas (not sure anywhere else) if your venue is considered a "private" venue, and you are planning to serve liquor (anything other than beer and wine) you HAVE TO have a security guard or police officer present to guard the liquor.... Has anyone ever heard of this? I verified with one of my police officer friends (and he verified with his chief) and it's true. It's definitely a law.. But here's the best part (not)... The suburb that our venue is in, has its own police department and my ex works for it.... My very bitter ex and all his cop friends... Lol fun.... Just wanted to vent because I want to pull my hair out lol
ETA: I had no idea my ex had transferred to that PD... I haven't talked to him in years. I found out today and our venue is booked lol
