Thanks! But I'm not a big Amazon fan for a wedding registry. We love Ikea but just don't understand if or why the registry only works in one store.

Their wine glasses and dishes and towels and many others are not available online in stores only, because I tried and it didn't work. Best bet is a registry website you can add things from anywhere or state that you both want gift cards to ikea

Not ALL of Ikea's stuff is for college kids. Although their better quality stuff costs just as much as other places, and you can probably find better stuff somewhere else, I admit that!

This is the only thing I have said about age or maturity all day. I am really not trying to be mean, just expressing that it may be better to get some higher quality items.

IKEA doesn't do registries. You can make a wishlist and distribute it (but it won't update when people buy stuff).

Any reason why you're not up for an Amazon registry? I've seen a lot of Amazon registries, and we're using one as well. If you don't want to use one, sites like myregistry.com let you compile items from different websites.

IKEA in Portland does offer a gift registry which I am super excited about because I love ikea! I thought it was available online too. I tried to find the email I got about it but I can't!

Loved the 'too old' remark :-) If you pick the right items, you can really put together a good looking home. We can also get a lot more done with their items- aka furnish an entire apartment with one registry.

I've been taking a look at this IKEA Portland registry. They even have a 'chip in' option for larger items. I've never seen that before. Has anyone seen the registry in other IKEA stores?

Yea, Im 32, have a masters degree and have owned a home since I was 25. I freaking love IKEA. Who cares if my wine glasses come from there vs W. S.- guess what, when they fall they will break all the same, only with IKEA I am throwing away $1 glass vs $50 crystal.

West chester ikea doesn't have one?!

I'm in Cincinnati and we don't have it (yet...) Not sure about other stores.

Actually IKEA now does have registry and gift solutions.

Currently only IKEA Portland and IKEA Tempe opted-in, but I know other stores plan to opt-in too.
