"I'm Doing this for the Wedding"

Emly, on May 30, 2019 at 1:42 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

Ok so I can't be the only one who tells this to themselves when they want to do a little pamper day Smiley xd Im not someone who gets their hair done a lot or goes to the nail salon, I'd just rather spend that money somewhere else but lately I've been on a rampage of trying things out "for the wedding"

Today I last minuet scheduled a cut and color (its been about a year since I've been to a Salon) and I keep justifying it in my head like "I just want to get my natural color back for the wedding"

Next Friday I have a hair trial to "find out if i like the stylist and the salon and see if the hair style will hold up all night" , but we all know its because I have a bach. party for my cousin that night and i want to look good Smiley tongue

And finally I have a mini makeover scheduled on FH and my birthday (we have the same birthday Smiley heart ) The salon is having a FREE mini makeup session that day so i made sure to hop on that deal! I told myself its to see how I like how they apply my makeup and have it on for our birthday date night

Girl you're still a year out from your wedding, you're just doing these things to treat yourself, but there ain't nothing wrong with that is there?

As long as you don't go broke in the process, pamper yourself to your heart's content!

Nothing wrong with that. I've never been one to get my nails done but every other week or 2 my MOH and I got our nails done the year leading up to her wedding (last March) to stay in touch, be there to vent about wedding drama (and did she have alot lol) and just try to keep her sane. Well, FH proposed a week after her wedding so we have kept the tradition going. Its our girl time, and if I didn't have it, I would be locked in the house working on wedding stuff all weekend every weekend and that is just not healthy. I also have my first facial scheduled for Monday because I have had more breakouts and nasty skin over the last 5 years (I'm 30!) than I ever did in high school and I don't want to look like a damn pepperoni pizza on my wedding day. It's my last hope, I feel like I have tried every face mask, cream, gel, cleanser, etc out there, including prescription and it's just not doing the trick. I probably would just deal with it if it weren't for the wedding, but then I think about it and I shouldn't have to deal with it.

    TREAT YO SELF!

YES ahaha I have never gotten my nails done before and I am doing that soon for my wedding. It mostly was because I just wanted to spend more time with my bridal party and it seemed relaxing but I am not all that hellbent on doing it. I am a lax and low maintenance person so I don't much take time or do much for my appearance. But I suppose your wedding is the day you can be as extra as you want aha so I figured I will try it out.
But anyway, you do you girl, pamper yourself! Weddings are stressful to plan sometimes, so if you wanna pamper yourself, GO FOR IT.

Nope, nothing wrong with a little TLC. If someone has a problem with it, remind them that they aren't paying for it and that you deserve it. Chances are, they pamper themselves more than you pamper yourself.

I've been going to the nail salon and getting differnt nails "for the wedding" to see what color / look I like best but my FH says I'm just using that as an excuse to get my nails done all the time (He isn't 100% wrong) There is nothing wrong with treating yourself, and if you are like me and need a reason to justify it to yourself I think doing it for the wedding is the perfect reason!

Go for it! I NEVER wear makeup but I'm going to on my wedding day. Lots of trials beforehand.
