Do you normally get your hair highlighted? I'm getting married August 31st and getting mine done either the 1st or 2nd week of August.

I used to all the time until I decided to let my natural hair color grow out. 4

I got mine done about a week before. Enough time to fix if it didn't turn out, but not enough time for any growth (my hair grows super fast).

    Hey Christina!

Personally, I would get my highlights done about two weeks before an event. I always feel like it takes some time for the color to settle into my hair and for me to get used to the new color. That being said, you don’t want to get it done so early that your roots start to grow out, especially if you have dark hair.

Do you remember from when you used to get your hair highlighted, how long your color would last without root regrowth?

August 23, I went in for full balayage a couple weeks ago, stylist says summer and natural growth will amplify it too - I don’t have a problem. with roots though (natural blonde going brighter). I’d say 2 weeks though if you’re worried about grow out.
