Yeah sorry, I meant not cross paths as in we won't be working on similar projects or even similar teams and it's big enough that I probably wouldn't even know his department existed except he works in it so it'll be nice because we can each make our own mark without being compared to each other. He's been with the company 2 years though but for me I can make my own mark on my team.

@windowschick -- that's tough! I get why they do it though. No favoritism. It's hard though if you're the same type of role like financial analysts or something where you have to find another team that does the same thing so you can each be on a different team! Also we're both competitive so I'd rather not compete with each other or get into awkward situations of liking or not liking a mutual coworker
