Congratulations on your engagement!! The first two things I suggest is determining what your budget is, and also coming up with an estimated guest count. Once you have those two things, then look for a venue within your budget that can hold at least the number of guests you plan to invite. Once you book your venue, search for other vendors (photographer, DJ, etc). I also recommend using a checklist! The Knot has a good checklist, and Wedding Wire has one as well. Those will help you track your progress, and keep your planning on schedule. Happy wedding planning!

Congratulations! You definitely have time and don't need to stress about planning yet. Enjoy your engagement!! You can start creating Pinterest boards with ideas you like and start looking into venues and catering, since there are couples moving their 2021 and 2022 weddings to 2023 and dates may fill up quickly. I recommend getting The Knot Ultimate Planner and starting to look at monthly planning checklists to see what should be done and when.

I agree with everything Lisa suggested! Your budget and estimated guest count are what needs to be determined first before you move forward. Checklists are amazing, and help you stay on top of what has been done, and what still needs to be done.

Congrats you have plenty of time I got engaged last year and am getting married in April 2022 I would start planning later this year possibly around August
