I’m wanting to add glitter tulle will i ruin the dress ?

That dress is gorgeous! Personally, I wouldn’t change a thing about it. If you think you want to add to it though, I would definitely consult the opinion of a skilled seamstress. Have you held glitter tulle up to the dress to see what it would look like? I’ve found that it actually cheapens the look of some dresses. Also, have you tried the dress on with a veil and accessories? Maybe once you see it all together, you won’t think it needs anything else. There’s always the option of a small sparkly belt too!

But I’m not the one wearing it- you have to love your dress! Any time you make major changes though you run the risk of not liking it. I would weigh out the costs and risks against the possible benefits. I would also try the dress on with all your accessories and see how you feel in it. If you still find yourself wanting the glitter tulle, and think it’s worth the risks/costs, then you should go for it!

I don't think it will "ruin" the dress, but I do think that the dress looks much more classy and elegant without the glitter.

I had glitter tulle added to my dress, but my dress didn't have the lace like yours does. I think with the lace that the glitter tulle might be too much. My dress is below, but in the photos you can't tell there is a later of glitter unfortunately, but every time I moved you could definitely tell. If my dress had lace on it I wouldn't have added the glitter tulle.

Just thought of something! If you decide you really want to add the glitter, there is a fabric glitter spray you can purchase! I believe it is really inexpensive. Maybe you could spray a lower level of tulle and see what you think!

I think the glitter tulle is really pretty. It would add a bit of sparkle. Your dress has a lot going for it already with the flowers but it's definitely not overbearing.

My dress came with a layer of glitter tulle under the layer of lace and I’m obsessed with it! I love your dress as is, but if you feel like you want more sparkle, you should go for it!

I would do this, because I love sparkle! My dress has glitter tulle and lace, and I think it's perfect together.


Also, I would look at both glitter tulle (little dots of glitter on the fabric) and shimmer tulle (shiny threads sewn into the tulle), and see which you like best.
