So today the cosmetology board in my state is meeting to discuss precautions during this time and to discuss hair dressers going on site. There is a possibility that they may no longer allow hair folks to go on site for weddings and other events. My hair person was straight up about this and told me the other weekend when I went for a hair trial. I would like to say we can manage going to her salon the morning of but we can't unless we start early. She is about an hour from my venue and driving an hour there and back is just not an option for us that day. I really have no clue what I'm going to do if they decide that folks can't go on site anymore. I guess start calling around to local places, I know it was probably dumb of me to pick my normal person but she is also a very good friend and I really wanted her to do my hair. I think the most frustrating thing not only for me but also for my hair person is that when the shutdown and pandemic first started the board did nothing and came out with no guidelines; but now all of the sudden they are. Fingers crossed they come back saying they will still allow on site jobs.
