Hello,

So here's the situation, my future brother-in-law is trying to push his dream wedding on me. I don't want to hurt his feelings but at the same time if I like something and he doesn't like it, he says it absolutely won't be apart of the wedding. For example, he said we're not doing the traditional wedding march song. My fiancé and I are paying for the entire wedding. What should I do?

Don't share plans with him. If she won't stand up to him then you need to. He is completely out of line.

So, your FBIL says that if you don't have the wedding he wants, and he is not the one getting married, he won't show up?

I have one sentence for him: "We'll miss you."

Well I can say that looking back I wish I would have been a bit more of a bridezilla about the things I really wanted. It is your wedding you are paying for it. That said, I think it really should come from your fiance if it is his Brother.

He didn't say he won't show up, he's just very opinionated. I'm normally a people pleaser but for this I'm not willing to budge.

    Don't.
He has no say, he has no right to have a say and he will continue to fight for a say unless you shut him down
