Are any of y'all from Indiana?! Most of the post with prices for venues, catering, and other things seem so expensive in other states! I live in a very small town and was just wondering if any one else is from Indiana

I'm just south of indianapolis and found my venue for $1800. It includes linens and tables.

I'm from Northeastern Indiana. Things are definitely less expensive here. A good quality photographer is $800. Cake with plates and napkins is about $350.

@Kara I'm in Noblesville, too. But were getting married in WI. We're coming in at $10k. Our buddies are getting married in Indy and they're at $20k.

@mrspotts we are using the Forest Park Inn so it's not extravagant and such and pretty basic with the tables and chairs. They set up for ceremony but we will have to do the turnover which is lame but my sister said we can figure it out. I think the total is a little over what I said previously with taxes figured in.

I'm in the south subs of Chicago. The closer to downtown we looked, the more expensive things got. I think it just depends how close you are to a big city and how demand is in the area. I looked in the far west subs for a "rustic" venue with a bonfire. They were in the middle of nowhere but had a $15,000 minimum on food - no thanks!

Also wanna say hi to the NWI peeps cause I'll be hopefully moving to Crown Point before next summer!

Noblesville wedding for us in May. I would not call our venue affordable by any means, but it included a lot (all the tables with linens and chairs, chairs for ceremony, decorations in the reception area--we'll be adding more, but it helped that they have some, and day of coordinator). I love our venue, and feel it's worth the cost after looking at some other Indy locations prior that cost almost as much but included pretty much nothing...

Me! But we're getting married around Indianapolis, so it's a a bit pricey... From my experience, it seems that more metropolitan areas tend to cost more on average...

I'm getting married in Indiana but live in California. My wedding is half the price by keeping the wedding in our hometown instead of getting married in LA!
