Indoor vs. Outdoor spaces

Outdoor if it’s beautiful weather…

We have not chosen a venue yet because he is deployed to Iraq. But I know I will choose indoor

I am in the process of touring venues. I am getting married at the end of August so it could either still be really hot or it could be kind of cooler so I am 50/50 on what I really want.

For us we chose a garden for the wedding and and indoor reception.

We are getting married outdoors at a family lake house with rent for reception

Outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. Because I am getting married in June in TEXAS the ceremony may be moved indoors if it is too hot.

Mixture, I would love to do outdoor but need the venue to have an indoor option in case of weather.

I wanted an outdoor ceremony SO badly. BUT fell in love with a venue that only has an indoor option. We are going to have the ceremony and reception inside with photos for first look outside at a nearby park.

I’m planning on having an all outdoors wedding


I may partially have it indoors if the right venue pops up to have dinner.

Reception is here in Michigan and wedding is out of state

The ceremony will be outside under a covered space and the reception will be inside a nice barn. Haven’t booked yet but been looking at some.

Im having a mixture. The cocktail hour is going to be outside so that decorator can flip the room for the reception without the guest being in the way

We are having a June wedding and it is going to be at sunset outdoor venue. It’s in San Clemente CA! So excited.

When we first were wedding planning, we picked a venue where the ceremony was going to be outdoors with a gazebo and then reception would be indoors. But when COVID hit us, that venue shut down and so we selected our 2nd favorite venue when we originally were venue hunting. The place we're getting married is all indoors so we will have the ceremony and reception all in the one place inside. I think we're going to do our pictures there as well.

It would of been cool to do the gazebo thing, but I am happy that we get to be indoors and won't have to worry about the weather and can have a fun wedding.

Outdoor weddings are awesome, but you got to have a little bit of luck when it comes to making sure the weather cooperates.

My original dream was to be married on the coldest day of the year since it looks too bright outside and my FH and I start sweating.


2 weekends ago we booked our fully outdoor wedding for June 24, 2023 in Missouri. Not only we will be married outside, have our reception outside, but will also have our wedding party glamping for the weekend on the venues grounds. It’s going to be absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I want a mixture I want it to be indoor but I also want to have that option of outdoor. Honestly I also really want to look for something by the water as well. I just think it's so beautiful.

We live in the South. So even in the Fall, it will be humid. We are looking at indoor venues with views.
