Inexpensive beach wedding and reception

Mary, on September 24, 2019 at 10:26 PM Posted in Planning 0 10
I want to have a beach wedding and reception but don’t want to pay a fortune. Anyone have any suggestions on how to do it on a budget?

Maybe do it off season, like in September, so tht way it’s still hot. It should be free to get married on the beach (i would think) & for the reception maybe get a meeting room in the hotel...tht way you’re only paying for one banquet space. Also have your family help you by doing a lot diy things, and for the food maybe have your family help you cook it. And most importantly don’t invite a lot of ppl, the more ppl the more expensive. Hope this helps...good luck!

Thanks. Do you know how to find a meeting hall?

We are doing this we are having a ceremony on the beach (free) plus no officiant needed because my grandfather is one. We planned it for September and got a big beach house for the week for the family and are holding the reception there. That's what cost us the most and that is about 2520. So for about 3000 because we have such a small amount of guest 25 in all we will have everything paid for including food for the party (not including my dress, tux, rings) but everything else is included

We are doing a beach wedding in two weeks. We are renting a big beach house for the weekend and skipped most decorations since the house is beautifully decorated and the large yard is right on the water. We are lucky to already have a free tent available and a few tables so our rentals were almost nothing. We also know a caterer who does a lot of work in people's homes but that might not be common so you could look into catering from a local restaurant. There are definitely ways to do it without breaking the bank. We have spent about $5,000 which gives us more for our honeymoon to Ireland, England, and Scotland next year.

Depending on where you stay, ask the hotel. Or search for meeting halls online at the beach you’re having the ceremony. Just go with the best option!

Where did you find a house that would let you have the reception there. We considered that but every house I have checked on says they do not allow receptions there.

Where did you find a house at that would allow that. Every house I’ve checked says no events or parties can be held there.

It took months of searching but I found one on AirBNB. Where I live there are entire realty agencies that manage rental properties on the beach and many of them cater to couples getting married. I had to expand my search to other beach cities near me to find the right one within our budget, and a lot of them have low max capacities. We just lucked out on finding the one.
