Inexpensive rectangular table decor

Lalaluna, on December 11, 2017 at 8:58 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

We have the option to have rectangular instead of round tables which I am keen on, except for the potential cost of decorating! We expect the tables will seat 10 people on each side and looking to spend around $10- $15 total for each table. The venue comes with linens in any color is our choice so we don't have to worry about that cost. How did you decorate your long rectangular tables and how much did you spend? Stalking Pinterest as per usual but not too sure what would work for us. DIY is good. Pictures are great, as I'm a visual learner! Thanks! Ballroom picture attached although the seating obviously will be different!

You don't have to do a tablescape just because you choose a rectangular table. Our parents likely had rectangular banquet tables as round tables are a fairly recent innovation. They also didn't have elaborate tablescapes- also new on the scene.

You can use a regular centerpiece in the center of the table and do a cluster of votives at either end.

Lanterns centerpieces are beautiful and can also be cost effective as they don't need a lot of flowers.

Five Below has lanterns for $5- who knew? LOL

I am having rectangular tables (provided by our venue) and centerpieces have been by far the most frustrating! I have finally settled on a mixture of lanterns and bottles. Just be aware of the height of everything, you want to make sure your guests can still mingle with each other. Here's a little bit of inspiration

We had rectangular tables, and I will show you what we did with them. Everyone thought they turned out beautifully!

Eta: it was pretty inexpensive, except for buying the lanterns. I wish I had known about 5 Below then. BTW, your venue is GORGEOUS!

You really won't need much for it to look decorated. I plan on doing something similar to this with a table runner and small square vases with a couple stems in each and glass votive candles. The flowers will be giant dahlias so they'll pop. If you buy bulk on the vases and votives, you'll really save a lot.

We had candelabra type things on our rectangle tables.

Our head table was also rectangular and we had our florist do a garland down the center with votives around it. We used our bouquets as additional florals on that.
