Inexpensive South Jersey Venue

Sutton, on April 14, 2018 at 5:10 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 12
I am newly engaged and just at the beginning planning stage. My fiancé and I are on a small budget and are in need of ideas for venues in the south jersey area that are inexpensive. We are thinking around 100 people.

I was literally just about to post the same question. I have a guest list of about 75 and have been having the worst time finding somewhere affordable that doesn't have a max guest count of 100±

St Pierres in New Brunswick does not require a minimum. They also do not have a up charge for Saturday vs Sunday.

Also what exactly is your budget? Inexpensive can mean one thing to someone yet another to someone else.

You can try rental halls, but when you add in catering, and buying your own alcohol the price can jump up.

Lucien’s and The Merion are fairly inexpensive, but inexpensive is relative to the person. What exactly is your budget?

Same here, doing EVERYTHING ourselves, I can't believe how expensive venues are so the most affordable are halls ( VFW, firehouse, small restaurant or tavern, parks if you want outdoors... or a friend or family member that has a big enough yard

I was in the same boat. I contacted about thirty venues in the south jersey area luciens and five points inn were the least expensive for what you get. I'm having mine at five points. They start at 50pp (add tax and gratuity) but it includes the food, 4 hour dj, floral centerpieces and the cake!

Literally same thing as you guys!

We are very simple people so definitely don't need a venue that has a "wow" factor, we really just want a room that can hold our 100 guests lol. I have a family friend that I'm going to use for catering so we're literally just looking for a ROOM to rent somewhere in NJ that can hold 100 people, but everywhere is so expensive and/or requires you to use THEIR catering. So frustrating! We were originally going to use our backyard but I've been so worried about the fickle NJ weather... even if we have a tent to block potential rain, it could easily be 95 degrees and humid which would make for a miserable outdoor wedding even under a tent.

Have you guys had any luck finding anything?

-River view inn, pennsville nj (without ceremony but is next to a public park with a gazebo)
    -Ramada inn, vineland nj

i Have been trying to find the cheapest venue, buffet style, appetizers , with a bar (cash/tab), in south jersey and hear have been the top cheapest two. Cost is under $3,000 for 35-45 people.

    Anyone know any others?

Bogey's Club and Cafe in Seweel NJ at the Pitman golf course is great. We have a small budget as well. They work with you and your budget so there are no standard packages. We are inviting 150 Guests. They also have amazing food, and they serve alcohol as well. We deiced to do a cash bar to save money. It saved us about $22 per person. As well as a Sunday wedding to save even more. Our cost for them was about $8,500 and that included the reception space, the cocktail hour food, reception food, the ceremony, the garden area, up lighting, set up and break down, the bridal suite, Cake cutting, toasting Champagne, as well as the service and taxes are included in that price. They also charge $3 per chair for the ceremony so you wont know that total price until you get your head count from RSVP's

Try Masso’s Catering in Glassboro I’m having my wedding there for 65 pp for 100 people and it’s beautiful they have 2 reception halls that is either rustic or modern and they have 3 different gazebos you can get married in front of or you can get married in front of a waterfall (that’s the choice me and my fiancé picked)
