InexpensivevVenues in the Austin/San Antonio Area with indoor space and allows outside catering

Mr & Mrs Cantrell, on June 25, 2014 at 2:39 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hello Everyone,

I am desperately searching for a wedding venue in the Austin/San Antonio area that has indoor space AND allows outside catering. I have been unsuccessful so far in locating a location that meets both needs at a reasonable price.

Like most brides, I am on a budget however I am willing to spend up to 3000 on the venue if it includes things like tables and chairs. Can anyone provide suggestions?

To give an idea of the style I'm looking for... I really liked the vintage Villas. The ballroom in Hotel Ella was also very pretty however both require catering through the venue.

Have you looked into the Briscoe Western Art Museum, Sunset Station, and SW School of Art in San Antonio? I can't remember what their prices were, but we are getting married in San Antonio and looked at those venues (we only personally went to Sunset Station and the SW School of Art), but we wanted a hotel that did everything since it was easiest so we ended up with the St. Anthony Hotel. Those two were pretty awesome though, and I loved the Briscoe, but on our wedding date there was also going to be a rodeo convention so that's why we skipped it.

Have you checked House on the Hill? It's more casual than the ones you mentioned, though...and though the ceremony is usually held outside there, I think you can have it inside or out.

Seems like so many places around Austin are outside at least for ceremony.

I'm getting married at the Plantation House...more than your budget in your post, but they include tables, chairs, linens and it's nice, so you don't need too much decor.
