Intimate beach weddings , anyone done them ?

Janessa, on October 6, 2020 at 2:25 PM Posted in Florida Planning 1 9
I have changed my mind is many times on what I want to do I really want a beautiful boho wedding it’ll be intimate no more than 50 guests so wouldn’t make sense to rent out a huge venue ( I loved the Addison ) .. my budget is also something I wanted to refine so I considered doing a beach ceremony and reception with dining and dancing with long tables . Something private perhaps Florida keys even though some or pretty pricey . Any advice , is it practical ?

Hmmmm for 50 guests and not have a venue it might be too much. You could contact an officiant in that area as some of them specialize in intimate beach weddings but if you need seating for 50 people that will cost extra then you could just do a restaurant after with a reserved room.

I think logically if you do not want a venue have you considered more intimate ceremony (max 20 people) then the larger reception? I am not familiar with the Keys to help you. If it were Tampa Bay I would have some suggetions.

Can I piggy off the original post? I am also planning a wedding. I want an intimate wedding and a friendly budget . I am planning for 20 guests and I'm not sure what to do to, I'm all over the place and need advice. I would wish it be in the Tampa Bay Area more like Clearwater Beach if that helps for suggestions.

    anything is appreciated.

What about having a restaurant reception or in a hotel private dining room after your beach wedding? They may have affordable pricing and capacity for 50!

In the Keys you should also check out The Ernest Hemingway Home & Museum, Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club, and the Courtyard by Marriott Marathon Florida Keys as potential venues!

Yes I’ve recently looked into only doing the ceremony on the beach and reception indoors or rooftop .

Hmmm they are on two opposites side of the bay but you know what I have been to weddings where I have had to drive a bit of a distance. I feel 30 minutes or less is fine ha ha. St. Pete Beach is near many restaurants like the Sandpearl or Tradeiwnds but not sure if you want a venue to do up and have a reception. You can also look up Isla del Sol which is a country club but they host weddings and it is by the bay then a place for a reception. I personally think a Saint Pete Beach wedding then off to the station house is not bad. You could also do Ft. DeSoto Beach or Treasure Island too. Smiley smile
