Intoxication on your big day

Will you guys be drinking at your reception? My family keeps telling me I shouldn’t at all. Which is upsetting, I want to have fun! I’m not trying to get sloppy drunk, will you guys be opting out of drinking?

I will drink on wedding day for sure but I will keep it in moderation and EAT. Mimosa's in the morning with breakfast is a must for our wedding day! Champagne during cocktail hour and a nice glass of red wine with our steak dinner!! Just be sure to not get sloppy so you don't remember your wedding fondly and not in pieces.

Alcohol will definitely be on deck in some shape form or fashion. I plan on partaking responsibly and I hope that everyone else will too. We are having a destination wedding so if someone have a little too much we'll get them back to their quarters and carry on... I say go for it but know your crowd.... & Congratulations on your engagement.

It's your day if you want a glass of champagne or two go for it! If you are worried about drinking to much, have a trusted bridesmaid watch your drink count or just ask the bar tender to stop giving you drinks after X amount (easy to remember the person in white). If you are worried about your family judging, put your bridesmaids on defense make sure they are ready to be your bumper between any overbearing family members.

I personally don’t see anything wrong with serving alcohol but I also would like to add that you need to know your guest and as long as everyone drinks within reason there’s nothing wrong.

That’s actually exactly what we were going to do! We had to postpone like many others, so now we have to travel back for our wedding. Since we have to travel now though we can really only accept monetary contributions

I will definitely be drinking at my wedding. My sister and I are planning to have champagne in the bridal suite before the ceremony and I set a limit of 3 drinks for myself at the reception. I say drink, but know what your tolerance is because it would suck to not be able to remember your wedding the next day
