Without bringing up $, I'd love to hear your experiences or what you & your FH are planning to do for your HM- specifically the length of time. When I think about being away from all responsibilities for more than 5 days, I feel a little anxious. (I hope I don't sound weird or ungrateful.) I just want to know, does anyone else feel like they may be ready to come back to their home after 5 days away? We are looking into Sandals resorts and I've heard a lot about how great the night life is, which sounds fun but exhausting after the first hour. Lol I'm wondering, are there any great locations for those of us who are a little more introverted and don't want to be out drinking/dancing until 2 am each night? Thanks for reading, if you got this far in the post. I appreciate any suggestions!

We are both major introverts. We are doing Maui. We are not pre-booking excursions. If we feel like it we will, if not we will hang by the beach or go explore alone.

We're introverts too - him even more than me. He also dislikes being away for more than a week, while I'm a 2-week minimum kind of girl. We compromised by agreeing to go for a week plus 2 weekends (9 days), right before Christmas, then when we get back we'll still have the holidays, so a relaxed week mostly at home.

We're getting a cabin in Colorado (late fall/early winter wedding) and planning to cook for ourselves, play music, go for hikes, go out skiing and sledding. So, limited interaction with others. My sis and her husband rented a cabin on a remote island in the Caribbean - the only hard/expensive part was the 4 planes it took to get there!

We're doing a Galapagos cruise. I had voted for a week in his family's vacation home on the beach, but he knows I've always wanted to see the Galapagos. I'm hoping it will be a fairly quiet affair, as I'm sure I'll be ready for some peace once the wedding is over with.

Probably end up camping for a week, someplace where we can camp and fish and not deal with anything we don't want to.

My FH is an extreme introvert and doesn't enjoy touristy venues. We are going to take a weekend to go to the Washington coast for a little glamping and a murder mystery dinner and train ride on a vintage steam engine. We are only going to be away from home for 3 days to alleviate the stress of being away from home.

We don't have a ton of plans yet for our honeymoon other than we know our honeymoon is going to take place a couple months after the wedding. We live in Seattle but we're getting married in my hometown in Indiana and we have to fly back to Seattle ASAP after our wedding so I can take a class for nursing school that's only offered in the summer, so we'll probably go sometime in the month between when my summer class ends and fall classes begin. We're thinking we want to go abroad and right now we're strongly leaning toward visiting Iceland but we'll see...

Fellow introvert!! We're just doing a mini moon for 3 days....in our hometown! It just fits our budget and lifestyle as we're big homebodies. I don't think there's any wrong way to honeymoon in this day and age, each couple should do what feels right for them! As for specifics an all inclusive resort would be perfect! We're doing a local resort that has a waterpark in it, shopping, dining, spa etc. I've never been even though it's in our town so im super excited!

I am so in the same boat! It kinda freaks me out when it gets too peopley. Our way of partying is sitting on the couch watching netflix with a beer. I also am nervous of being away for so long. We want to plan a 5 day Hawaii vacation to Turtle Bay Resort. It is breathtakingly gorgeous and has miles of beach property that is private owned. They have private beach cottages that we'd like to stay in, because even being in a hotel with tons of people kinda freaks me out a little. By the way its just large crowds. I think you def need to do what you guys are comfortable with. Maybe google secluded or private honeymoon spots. I also think that a private spot just makes it more romantic and peaceful.

We honeymooned in Banff/Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada. It was gorgeous. You get tons of time alone with your partner because you go on long hikes/bikes/drives/adventures in total wilderness. It's so peaceful and only draining in the physical exertion sense (none of the introvert-doing-extrovert-things drain).

I'd definitely recommend a wilderness/hiking trip for honeymooning introverts!

We are super introverts. We're planning a trip to NYC, we're looking for a room with a great view. We'll be honeymooning in the winter, so we're imagining laying in a big hotel bed with movies and room service some days, and daytime adventures with romantic dinners other days. As for length of time, I'm dreaming of letting go of our responsibilities for as long as we can afford. I work a job that basically requires I'm always available at least by phone, so I'm ready for a brief escape!

Sandals emerald bay is remote, quiet, and extremely laid back. I won't have to people there lol

FH and I both are introverts...we're taking a cruise through Italy and Greece. We've done a cruise before and really enjoyed it. You can always find something to do (or not do) on the ship. We're not clubbing people, and were very content most nights to have some wine at one of the ship bars and just enjoy being on the water.

We aren't into partying either. We plan on incorporating rock climbing into our honeymoon. At LEAST two weeks.

I completely feel your pain! My fiance and I are still in college, so everything is low budget, but that's the way we like it. We're also a pretty introverted couple and really just wanted to get away for a few days for our honeymoon, so guess what we're doing? Staying in a Hobbit Hole! We'll only be gone for 4 nights, which I feel is a nice little trip. We're going to Rocky Comfort Cabins in Makanda, IL. They have two cabins which are designed to look like real-life Hobbit Holes! Perfect for how nerdy we are. Smiley smile

We took 15 days- we did a 10 night cruise through Italy & the Greek Isles, and then 3 days in Rome before flying home. The cruise was perfect- very port intensive so we were off the boat almost every day exploring on our own. We had a couple drinks on the ship at night but never bothered with any clubs on board (plus we were tired from all the walking during the day). We explored Rome at a slow pace. We were definitely ready to come home a day or two before we left. We also had the weekend to relax and be lazy after the trip, which was definitely needed.

We rented a cabin in the mountains for a week about a 3 hr drive from our hometown! It may not be ideal (both of us really wanted to go out of the country, couldn't due to new jobs, etc) but we're excited.
