So I finally bit the bullet and decided to get Invisalign. My teeth have made me so self conscious my entire life and my parents didn't get braces for me as an awkward 15 year old like everyone else SO here I am. Totally not ideal to take on the extra expense while we're saving for the wedding but I desperately want a pretty smile that I'm not embarrassed about on my wedding day. I knew I would fix my teeth eventually so I might as well do it now. I signed the paperwork yesterday so no turning back! They told me that in order to fix my bite, the treatment would be close to 18 months (my wedding is 10/10/20) but my teeth will be straight in a years time. In order to have a beautiful smile on my big day they said they're happy to pause treatment, take the attachments off, give me a retainer for the time being, and whiten my teeth for the wedding. We'll resume when I get back from the honeymoon. Has anyone else had Invisalign?? If so, do you have any before and after photos? I'm literally obsessing over them right now. Hopefully, I'll get the outcome that I want. Share your experience with meSmiley smile

I have the same problem, but with tea! Going to and try and avoid it over the next week, but it'll be difficult lol. I've been drinking like 3 cups a day for the last 15 years. I've already bought reusable straws but am still going to try and keep it to a minimum until the wedding.

Your sneak peeks were gorgeous! I hope you share more once you get the rest! (And that seems like a great turnaround time!)

Hello. My teeth was very important to me also because I like to smile. So I did the teeth whitened with my dentist. The did an impression of my teeth and I did the kit for two months and my teeth was white as snow.

Yes girl! I need my caffeine. lol Thank you so much! Our photographer is a rockstar! She gave 10 sneak peeks the day after and promised to get the rest to us within two weeks, which would be Sunday. I saw that she's going out of town for a wedding she's in this weekend so I'm hoping she sends them to me before she leaves!

That's so good to hear!! Teeth are the first thing I notice about people (probably because I've hated mine for so long) so making sure they're pearly and white is very important to meSmiley smile Congratulations!

I wish I had taken a real before one. But the one on the right was in the beginning of getting it (terrible picture haha) and the other is now.

    Hi Taylor! Congratulations!

I also opted to get some cosmetic work done before the big day. My big thing is my spacing. I choose to go with Smile Direct Club since my only concern is spacing. I have no over or under bites, no crowding, or overlapping teeth. Only spacing. Invisalign through my dentist office would have cost my $3,200 after insurance covering around $1,000

Yeah I'm not sure why mine is over a grand more. Maybe the area I live in or the fact that the permanent retainer and 6 months of aligners past my normal treatment are included if needed? It's a sickening cost but I know I'll be happy in the long run! Post updates on your teeth as you see the spacing change! I'd love to see your progressSmiley smile

In the second pic my daughter is wearing her's. If you have to wear rubber bands you will be able to tell but a lot of her friends didn't even notice she had them until recently

Thank you!!! This is something I've wanted to do for a long time and just kept putting off because I dreaded the idea of being an adult with braces. I always said I wanted a smile that made me feel good on my wedding day so I'm going to get over my embarrassment and do the darn thing!Smiley smile

I would have considered that but I have a major bite issue and SmileDirect wouldn't have been able to fix it. I also like the idea of having an orthodontist actively monitoring the treatment and ensuring I remain on track. I suspect my trays will come in within the next week and then I'll actively post updates on here for anyone that is interested in following alongSmiley smile

I did it and I’m so happy that I did. I was also told 18 months. I started July 2018 and just finished in August. I did propel in January which sped up the process. I have a permanent retainer that they didn’t put in right away, so one tooth on my bottom slight moved. I may go back and see about adjusting it before my wedding.

They look so good!!! This makes me super anxious to start treatment!! When did you begin to really notice a difference? Did you religiously wear them 22+ hours a day or were you a little lenient with that? Congratulations! Your smile is beautiful😊

I was pretty religious with wearing them which helped with maintaining my weight. I began to notice a difference pretty quickly within the first month. My bottom teeth were so crowded that I was able to see movement fast. Every time I got new trays I would take them out & compare them to my current trays. I kept most of my trays for most of the year so I could see my progress. I’m so bad about remembering to take pictures. I meant to but I really only took maybe 8 total out of my 32 trays.

When I was in highschool and college I had perfect teeth, no braces!

But, I've had so much stress since starting my career 5+ years ago that I've been grinding my teeth so hard my bottom teeth were shifting. I started Invisalign 2 months ago and literally this past Monday I noticed a difference and they're becoming straight! I'm so excited, I can't wait to be done with this!!! I'll show some before and afters when I'm done Smiley smile
