So I finally bit the bullet and decided to get Invisalign. My teeth have made me so self conscious my entire life and my parents didn't get braces for me as an awkward 15 year old like everyone else SO here I am. Totally not ideal to take on the extra expense while we're saving for the wedding but I desperately want a pretty smile that I'm not embarrassed about on my wedding day. I knew I would fix my teeth eventually so I might as well do it now. I signed the paperwork yesterday so no turning back! They told me that in order to fix my bite, the treatment would be close to 18 months (my wedding is 10/10/20) but my teeth will be straight in a years time. In order to have a beautiful smile on my big day they said they're happy to pause treatment, take the attachments off, give me a retainer for the time being, and whiten my teeth for the wedding. We'll resume when I get back from the honeymoon. Has anyone else had Invisalign?? If so, do you have any before and after photos? I'm literally obsessing over them right now. Hopefully, I'll get the outcome that I want. Share your experience with meSmiley smile

Let me know how it goes for you! Your mouth might hurt for a few days (painkillers will be your friend), but after that it'll feel like a normal retainer. Trust me it'll be worth it.
My fingers are crossed for you and I can't wait to see the results 👏😁

I’ll update the post as time goes on! I’m on my second full day and it’s honestly not bad AT ALL. I had a gap between my bottom front teeth and it’s literally closed already😂 They told me 18 months initially but when she gave me my trays she said “These are 1-6 of 12.” That math isn’t even CLOSE to adding up.

That’s great! They may think that you need refinements. I would ask to see the computer simulated progress for this round of trays on your next visit Smiley smile

I wore my invisalign for the entire wedding day and you couldn't tell! Here's a giant picture of my face to prove it. Smiley smile

Here is an update on mine! November 12th to January 31st. Less than three months in and I already see a difference. You can’t tell by the original but I had a pretty sizable gap in my bottom teeth that has completely closed. My bottom teeth are perfectly straight now! I’ll update again in a few months for anyone that’s interested!

I'm literally in the exact same position as you! Starting my Invisalign journey in two weeks and my wedding is October as well. They won't be perfect by then, but they will at least be better than they are now. They said the same thing about pausing it and taking the attachments off for the wedding and honeymoon. Happy we will both be smiling big on our wedding days Smiley smile Congrats!

Yes girl!! They'll be really close to straight by then. In my first round, I only had 12 trays. I'm about to be finished with those and then they'll re-scan. They aren't completely straight yet but they're so much better than they were in just three months. Congratulations on making the decision to do something for yourself! You won't regret itSmiley smile

I know I'm late to the discussion but PLEASE wear your retainer when you're done!! I so didn't appreciate that my parents got me Invisalign at 14 and I never wore my retainer when they were done and my teeth have definitely moved quite a bit since they were made "perfect" from invisalign.

Oh no!! My orthodontist made it seem like they’d be giving me a permanent retainer, thank god. Were you happy with the original results?
