Invitation etiquette

CourtneyBrittain, on June 12, 2019 at 6:19 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
I have a couple of friends who are in between apartments or in the process of moving so they have asked me to send their invitation to their parents address. Is that odd to only invite the child then? In both instances I am not close with the parents whatsoever, but didn’t know if it’d be rude to send an invitation to their household and not invite them.
I could technically meet up with these two friends and hand deliver their invitations but between my busy schedule and their busy schedule I’m afraid it won’t happen for a while. Thoughts?

No, I don't think that is rude at all. If that is the mailing address they are requesting you to use, then it is what it is. Unless the parents open their mail (federal offense) or your friend tells their parents what it was, the parents won't even know what's in the envelope.

It's fine! I'll probably do the same

I don't think so! I'd just ask them what is the best address for them and send it there.

A friend of mine wasn't sure where she'd be living and asked me to send it to her grandmother's. I don't think it's rude at all.
