Invitation mess up- need to fix!

Shelby, on July 7, 2018 at 11:38 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 9
Hi ladies,

i just got my invitations in the mail from Minted and realized that I didn’t put a deadline to RSVP on them which I definitely wanted. I will put the deadline on the website but I’m worried people won’t check on the website until it’s too late. I’m looking to figure out how to put it on the invite without looking too bad or too DIY. The front is where it says all the details and the back says “Please RSVP on (our website)”. I’m thinking maybe I could buy a custom stamp that I stamp underneath the above sentence? Any other ideas? It needs to be not too expensive because the invites were already a little pricey. Thanks in advance!

We forgot that too. We hand wrote it and put it in with the other extra details

We had a little snafu like this. We had put a RSVP date but our invites went on backorder. By the time we received them there would not have been enough time to mail and to give time for people to send them back. My FH saved the day by making small labels using his label maker with a later date. He matched the font and wording and we stuck them on the invites and RSVP cards. No one noticed and they still looked amazing!

We ordered an RSVP insert from Walmart. $50 for 100. You could put a song request thing under it too to fill up space, or other short info. They have some mockups, or you can design your own to semi-match your invitations.

I had a rsvp date on the invitations, website and envelope seals plus envelope labels. Might sound like a lot but the message was delivered. Plus the labels and seals just made the envelope look so elegant. Everything was ordered online

I like your stamp idea! Even on a separate cute little card of it’s own - I have done michaels sheets of nice paper/cardstock and cut them into a bunch of smaller rectangles. Cute, cheap, and fast!

I just heard the other day that minted only charges about $60 for a reprint due to errors- maybe contact customer service? Especially if it’s just the rsvp card.

Definitely give minted a call and see if they can redo the rsvp card. Or you could add a cute label in, they sell a lot of options now. Stamps can be a little tricky.

Unfortunately we didn’t do RSVP cards because they will just RSVP on the website so we only put the “please RSVP” thing on the back of the invite. So they won’t reprint the whole invite ☹️ I think I’ll look into inserts now though- thank y’all!

    Hi Shelby Smiley smile

A custom stamp is a really good idea for a detail add-in! Did you decide to order a stamp or pursue making an insert? Or was Minted able to add in the RSVP date and reprint?
