"Parking is limited at our venue. Therefore, we recommend guests use a taxi or rideshare service."

I'd either put it on your website or on the detail card, not on the invite itself. And be very clear as to why you're suggesting it. I personally wouldn't want to spend money to Uber to a wedding unless I literally had no other choice.

Are you offering to pay for your guests rideshares? What is the reason you want them to do this?

The simple answer is : Pay for it. If you want to encourage Uber, buy an UberEvents promo code and subsidize their rides, and then you can include the code with the invite. I don’t think there’s another polite way.

If you’re just worried about drinking and driving, trust your guests to be adults and take care of themselves. If there’s a greater issue that needs solving (ie no parking at venue), that’s on you to solve and suggesting rideshares won’t quite cut it. So, the why is important here too. I had parking, but it was a single lane windy road to get there, so I made that clear on my website to discourage driving, and made a shuttle available as an alternative. People could drive if they felt comfortable with it, but I wanted them to know what to expect, and I wanted to provide them with another option, so hiring the shuttle made the most sense to solve that problem.

It goes on the details card and the website. Have it in both places because not everyone will visit the website.

The only information on the invite itself is the date/time/location of your venue/s.

Why do you want them to use Uber?

You do not put this on your invitation simply put. If parking space or something similar is of concern, that can be spread via word of mouth. Otherwise pay for transportation or as adults, let people figure it out.
