Invitation Weight and Postage?

I'm sure we are all well aware that stamps are getting more and more expensive these days (just like most things) but it is often times something people forget to budget for. I have considered the cost of postage and have been trying to keep the size and amount of information in my invitations to the bare minimum to hopefully not need any extra postage. I am planning on the regular invitation with an RSVP card and an information card (plus the envelope and a sticker to seal). I know the best way to know the weight and required postage is to just take it to the post office but just curious what other people included in their invitations and the postage that they required. Thank you

Ours were heavy, but I knew they would require extra postage when I was purchasing them. Pocket invitations, so lots of information included on separate little cards inside a pocket portion of the invite. So to answer your question, one 'forever' stamp (bought last year when postage was a hair cheaper) and the 24 cent additional ounce postage stamp.

Daughter's invitation mailing included the 5x7 invitation, a 3x5 details card (info for online RSVP, etc.), and for about half the invitees a 4x6 card with info regarding the rehearsal/welcome dinner (all out of town guests were invited the rehearsal dinner so we included a separate invitation for that in the mailing). Those 3 cardstock-weight cards in a single envelope required one Forever Stamp.
