Hello, Ladies question are y'all going all out for invitations or keeping it simple what I'm battling with is why would I spend a whole lot on invitations when I know they just going to end up in the trash once people are finished with the wedding.

The logical side of me says it’s just a piece of paper and it will end up in the trash eventually anyway, so who cares? But, the romantic, whimsical side of me says the invitation sets the tone for the entire event, some people keep them for keepsakes, and they will be photographed in my wedding details photos, so why not go all out?
In the end, the romantic, whimsical side of me won lol We went all out on our invites, ensuring they represented us and our event. I was afraid I would regret spending the money, but I haven’t one bit! We have gotten so many comments on how beautiful our invitations are!

Ours was simple. We didn’t add all the extra bedazzled to it. No extra shine on the paper, or really cute envelopes. I ordered them through Zazzle and spent maybe $70 on them.

I think it's up to you. I was like Cece and didn't think it would take priority. But, I liked the design element of it and would find myself looking at invites (and shoes) online for art inspiration. My invites also helped me determine my colors. I used Minted with discounts for style and paper quality. But, the lowest cost invite out there may be Anne's Bridal. MagnaStreet is popular. Others have designed their own invites with Canva. Looking back, I think a QR code would have been cool for rsvp's but I went old school.

We ordered the all in one invitations from zazzle. It was about $135 for 50 invitations. The paper was thick, the pattern was beautiful, the RSVP card was perforated on the bottom. I highly recommend! Still expensive for paper, but I suppose not expensive as going all out with multiple pieces.

We're going all out. We actually just met with our stationary person who is creating them all, and while I know that other people aren't going to keep the invites forever, I really wanted a beautiful invite that matched the vibe of our day, as well as a bunch of other stationary that matches (the seating chart, our menus etc). We decided to go all in with the custom invites, and even are having a custom wax seal made for them. It's a bit of a splurge, but not astronomical. And we got so many compliments on our Save the Dates I can only imagine what we're going to get on our invites.

I don't regret spending the money at all. We'll be getting ours and sending them out in the next few months and I cannot wait! Plus I plan on framing one for us as a keepsake.

I guess it’s all preference. I got mine off Zazzle. 30 invitations for around $70. But there we’re definitely plenty that were a little cheaper than the ones I bought

I got everything from Magnetstreet. I fell in love with the invitations (pocket style) and saw they had the matching save the date magnets, so it was perfect! They are ALWAYS running some kind of sale so the price us very reasonable. Plus you can personalize the invite and then ha e one sent to you for free before you order to make sure it's what you want. Since mine is a beach wedding, these just my heart sigh.

I would also consider if you are having a more formal wedding, and your circle is not used to that, it would be helpful to have a more serious invite. Not only will this convey details, but should deliver your wedding vibe, and the importance of rsvp's. If I don't receive an rsvp card for me to return back in the mail, I would think it's an open invite to anyone like a club. Plus, you don't want no-show's that cost you money. But, if everyone knows wedding etiquette and appropriate dress, you should feel more secure.

They do go in the trash, however, they also set the tone for your wedding. It is the first (maybe 2nd if you do save the dates) that your guests see. They are also typically photographed as part of your wedding photos. So just keep that in mind when picking out your invitations.
