Invitations - additional inserts?

Linds, on November 16, 2016 at 1:31 PM Posted in Planning 0 20

Besides the invitation, and response cards/envelopes (if you're having mailed RSVP) what are you including with your invitations?

I'm planning to include an "Additional Information" card, but can't figure out exactly what to put on it. Thanks for sharing with me!

I put information about our main hotel block (address, phone number, website) and a note that we'd be providing transportation for our guests to and from the reception. I also then put our wedding website at the bottom of that "Additional Information" card since we had a few more hotel suggestions, etc. and I wanted to make sure people had those options too (I didn't have space to list out every single thing).

    This is what I have:

A block of rooms is available for our guests at

    HOTEL NAME

    HOTEL ADDRESS

    HOTEL ADDRESS

Please call (PHONE NUMBER) and request a room referencing the (OUR LAST NAMES) Wedding. You can also book online using the Group Code (OURCODE). Additional details are available on our wedding website.

Rooms are available Friday, March 17th and Saturday, March 18th.

Our wedding website can be viewed by visiting

    www.ourweddingwebsitename.com

I would also like to add something about children's meals being provided for children 10 and under (all children invited are under 10, all other guests are adults) but I'm not sure how to word it.

You can include directions or maps, advice cards or song request cards, accommodations, area activities for OOT guests. It really depends on the type of event you are having and how much info your guests might need to plan their attendance.

The card can just say "Details" if you are wanting a title to put on it, like RSVP cards sometimes have.

Because we needed to find somewhere to cut costs, we are skipping additional enclosure cards. We put the address of our wedding website at the very bottom of our invitations (which yes, is borderline tacky, but this was one place where I decided to sacrifice for the sake of budget). All the other info people have noted so far is on our website.

We just had the invitation and the RSVP card, I really want to have a separate reception card but it was too expensive with the card stock and designs I had chosen!

I put all the other info on our wedding website!

I am doing a small secondary card in my invitation that will be double sided. One side will have the RSVP information since we are doing online or by phone and the other side I'm doing a small map since most people are out of town and will show where the ceremony, reception, and hotels are plus the timeline of events. This will give my guests a basic idea of what's going on when incase there are people who don't do the online invite on the website (which will have all of these details also).

We will likely have an info card with recommended resorts, wedding website address, and pickup times for our shuttles, as well as Magical Express info for those who fly it and don't want to rent a car.

I used a card meant for directions to explain that we were providing uber rides for everyone (and to give them the code).

I included a directions card since it was recommended (and tested) not to rely on GPS.

We did two sided invitations.. one side w/ ceremony info, the other with reception info. On the reception side I just added something to the effect of "for additional information including, hotel & shuttle information, please visit WEBSITE HERE." We did include an RSVP card though.

I have the invite with a back pocket which will have the RSVP card, envelope, a "wedding details" card which had reception info, hotel and wedding website. And my OOT guests will get a "Weekend Events". That card has our welcome party (post RD thing for all our OOT not involved with the rehearsal) and farewell breakfast morning after.

Nothing. I put the wedding website on the bottom of the RSVP card and put all additional information online.

We included a "Details" card because the reception venue is not the same as the ceremony venue so it included the address as well as a sentence directing guests to our wedding website for directions and hotel info.

I put all of the information for both hotel blocks and a note that there is no parking at our venue with a link to our website for more information. I didn't know if people would actual visit the website so I wanted the hotel information in with the invites.

I have a website card. It says "For more information about the wedding, the city, and your stay, please visit our wedding website." We printed them on plain white business cards from vistaprint for less than $10!

I'm doing a list of nearby hotels, and then we are offering a kid friendly meal at the wedding along with our main dinner choice. I'll be sending an insert with the dinner menu and ask how many adult meals and how many kid meals needed. Some kids may want the main entrée and I need to know how many "children" and "adult" meals will be needed.
