Invitations and Rsvps

Jillian, on March 31, 2022 at 9:33 PM Posted in Planning 11 17

Where are you getting your invites from? Ordering them, making them yourself, something else. I am not interested in spending a ton of money on my invitations.

I was also thinking of doing virtual RSVPs. Has anyone ever done that? Any advice on how to start?

Thanks!!

I fell in love with these magazine invitations, but they are too expensive to get printed and mailed, so i decided to build my own magazine themed invite and just email them to everyone. My "save the dates" are text messages that will request everyone to send me their email, so it will be free.99 lol

I got my invitations from Ann's Bridal Bargains. They were good quality and the cheapest website I found. As a guest, I've done online RSVPs. Usually it's through the couple's wedding website and you provide the link on the invitation.

I’m getting my invites off basic invite. I love the way they look but definitely adds up in price. RSVPs I’m doing online

How do you do that? I read Dinah about a WordPress page and setting stuff up for the online rsvps. Did you do that too? I'm confused by that

I wanted simple invitations and used Magnetstreet which were very reasonable. My invitations were $1.50 each for the “all in one” invitations. Guests can detach the RSVP portion and drop in mail like a postcard.

I ordered my Invitations and Save The Dates from Zazzle. We went with one of their cheaper designs but we're still very pleased with what we got. Zazzle often has big sales running and I managed to get 50% off both orders.

We did online RSVPs through our wedding website, which was listed on both the Invite and the Save the Dates. Our guests had no issues! The few who told me by text I updated their RSVP myself. I used the Knot instead of Wedding Wire but I am sure it works the same for both.

LOVE Magnet Street. Got our Save the Date magnets there - at 70% off and free shipping. They almost always run some type of awesome sale. I have my pocket invitations all ready to be ordered ..... is it February 2023 yet? LOLOL

I sent out cute handmade RSVPs with our wedding website included on them.. we also have a FB event set as an easy remind option.. We have also created a website for other accommodations for our guest from out of town and state.. It is working well for our upcoming August wedding..

I ended up going with a local designer after searching all of the sites out there (WW, Minted, Zazzle, The Knot, Zola, Basic Invites, Etsy - you name it, I looked at it!) because I wanted not only a specific look (a black invitation) but I also wanted a full suite. My save the dates, invites, rsvp cards, thank you cards, seating chart, bar signage, menus, name cards, and table names/numbers are all going to have a similar design that is cohesive and I couldn't find one that could give me all of that, in a design I liked. The bonus was, I got to have it completely customized (down to picking the fonts I like!) and its everything I wanted and more. We ended up spending slightly more than average, though after talking to my MOH about her invites its only very slightly more than what she spent, and I'm getting more items!

For me, it was one of the things I'm willing to spend a little more on. I do plan on keeping an extra copy or two of everything and framing some of them.

We found a local stationary vendor in our area who did our Save the Dates and invitations thru this website and they were not too expensive. it was a seamless transaction between emailing her back and forth and showing her our designs we wanted for our stuff and we got them in a few weeks and they were beautiful.

I ordered invitations, RSVP cards, and mailing labels through Vistaprint. They were cheaper, and had similar styles to other sites that charged more.
