I ordered mine, and absolutely loved them!! I bought mine from invitationstyles.com and they have a beautiful selection to pick from and they're quite cheap. We got 210 invitations and RSVP cards, including all of the envelopes, and it was only $200.

DIY doesn't always mean saving money. I made my own invitations and I definitely could have ordered cheaper ones online. But for me personally, when I DIY, it isn't to save money but so that it is exactly how I want it.

Nowadays you can find great deals online to order for cheap.

Zazzle.com is a good option for inexpensive invitations. I was really happy with mine!

You can usually find Groupon links on these forumsfor $70 worth of Vistaprint items - you pay $17 and shipping only. They have a decent array of invites. I'm actually using a template from Wedding Chicks that I'm uploading and having them print. Kind of a combination of buy and DIY.

    Congrats and happy planning!

I actually just ordered our invites about 10 minutes ago... I am not a creative person, so there is ZERO DIY going on in the wedding. lol

    We ordered from www.magnetstreet.com

They are extremely customizable and fairly priced!! (in my opinion)

I agree with Alina, I just order a sample with zazzle.com after seeing my friend's invitations. However, our invitations will be in 2 different languages so I still might do DIY, decisions decisions. (The DIY ones I love are $450 for 200, the ones I like on Zazzle 200 for $220)

Michaels is where I got our STD magnets (30 for $10) and our invites also. Feed them through the printer, it took us a half hour for the STD. And an hour for our invites.

I ordered mine and they were absolutely worth it. I can not imagine the stress of doing them all by myself and do not like the generic look of kits that you can buy

I am not too creative and have tried to DIY my own invitations so I used zazzle.com.

I uploaded clipart that I liked and designed my own but don't have to worry about the printing.

    Here are mine:

Sometimes DIY can cost just as much as buying, just depends on how extravagant you want them. I wanted them simple, we didn't do save the dates or rsvp, just a simple invite. So in our case it was waaaay cheaper, 28 cents apiece at walmart, 5 bucks for fifty envelopes, and six bucks for gold seals. We loved them and so did our guests.

Have you checked out the invitation kits at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, JoAnn, and Walmart? Especially with coupons, those can be really affordable. And I think a lot of the designs are really, really pretty. You just have to run them through your home printer.

We designed and printed our invitations with www.cardsandpockets.com and we were VERY happy with the results! Very high quality papers.

Don't forget to check out Hallmark! The store by us has a huge invitation section. Some things are super expensive but others are surprisingly affordable and you get in-person customer service and design help. Might be worth checking out!

We used DIY invitation kits from Michaels (on sale for $29.99). I was extremely happy with how they turned out. However, they did require a lot of assembly. I would recommend it if you have plenty of time. FH and I would put in a movie and assemble invitations. It definitely is easier if you break it into multiple sessions.

I got my idea from Invitationsbydawn.com. I was going to DIY but after all the planning really came underway, I just don;t have the time. You might save a little money but doing it DIY but you also have to take into account your time that you spend on them. It is SO TOTALLY worth just ordering them!!

I bought mine from Hobby Lobby during one of their 50% off wedding sales, and got the adhesive rhinestones 50% off too, so I purchased 100 invites with the gems for $45. And it didn't even need to be that much but I didn't want to not have enough. I love mine, but if you don't want to be burdened with it, then dont be. They do take time, but I'm on a budget and it was more worth my time than spending the money. These are the ones that I made.

@ Christa: We are invite sisters lol Smiley winking I literally have those same ones, same bought from Michaels! They are so beautiful, match perfectly to the simplicity we are having for our wedding. I haven't printed yet, but have tested & works like a charm.

If you can imagine the invite backdrop (ya know the silver trim & swirls), this is what it'll look like along w/ when we print

I designed mine based off ones I really liked on expensive paper sites, but designed them and ordered them off of vista print. With coupons (which you can get if you google vista print coupons), I am paying $45 for 100!

I did DIY invitations and had I gone with a generic one it would have been cheaper. I designed and printed my pocketfold medieval themed invites and they came out to 4$ each. I love the personalized touch.
