Invitations - Seal-n-send?

Coal2, on February 26, 2009 at 9:38 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

We are having a destination wedding which means that along w/the invitation, we are including an insert which gives people info on booking hotel and air in addition to a map which provides people w/directions from the airport to the hotel.

We chose a seal/send invitation style but it doesn't look like we can include our inserts w/this style. Am I right about this?

Does anyone have a suggestion for destination wedding invites? In particular, vineyard-themed ones. I am having a hard time finding a grape design that I like.

Can you post a picture of yours? Then seal-n-send types I've seen are basically large squares of paper (or similar shapes, perhaps rounded) where you fold the four corners in and and seal them before mailing. You can just stick the inserts in before sealing, or maybe you can print this other information and attach them to the sides so that they appear above/below or left/right of the actual invitation when you open up the invite.

I am also having seal n send invitations, you would need to use extra seals on the sides rather than just top keep it closed.

Have you already bought the seal and send invites? I had got them for our save the date and several people told me that they were really torn up from the mail because they are not to sturdy. Be aware of this because if you send yours with extra inserts they may get lost so just be aware and if you already have them use lots of extra seals or find some way to make sure they are securely closed

I had thought to use them and requested a sample from Ann's Bridal Bargains, and let me say they were hard to put through the printer to even just type out the guests address on them. If you've already bought them, you might as well buy an invitation sized envelope from Staples or somewhere and putting them inside there with your inserts. Staples sells small enough ones that fit Postcard sized (which is what your seal and sends come out to folded) in boxes of 50 for little money. That's the best solution I can think of w/o them going through all the postal service abuse and being able to put in your inserts for the same cost as a regular postage stamp for sending out to your guests.
