Invitations to Famous People

I saw a post a while ago someone got one back from Jennifer Lawrence!

Over the years here, I have seen tons of Disney responses and certificates from the Presidents office. I remember the Jennifer Lawrence one as well.

Yes. FH works in TV so we have a few "famous" invitees. Haven't sent our invites yet, but I'm assuming most of them will come if they're in town!

There was a post earlier this week that someone sent a invite to one of their favorite celebrities and received a response along with a gift wishing them well. I forget who posted.

We didn't and I didn't even consider it, haha. I wouldn't want someone famous actually coming and stealing the spotlight I guess? I can't even think of anyone famous that I'd want to invite.. I guess it's more for fun to see who would actually take the time to respond. Tom Hanks would have been cool since he's pretty much our favorite actor.

We sent one to the Obamas because we want to frame the letter they send and display it at the wedding. We have a couple celebrities we want to send invitations to if we have enough left over!

We did the Disney ones, and got one back from Mickie and Minnie! Even though we're in Canada they sent us a card

I think we will send to Disney and the President. I also want to send to my favorite motocross rider, but haven't found his address yet.

I remember the Jennifer Lawrence one, and someone posted on here that Steve Carell and his wife responded to them, too. Those were SUPER cool.

FH and I sent a few to celebrities, because why not! We JUST got this back from FH's idol, Garrison Keillor. Not a "traditional" celebrity by any means, and most people probably don't know who he is, but FH and I were super stoked!!

We did! We got one back from Minnie and Mickey, and Dr. and Mrs. Ron Paul. (The guy who ran for president).

p.s. We also sent an invite to Ellen DeGeneres. Didn't hear back from her.

Future_Mrs_D, I totally love Garrison Keillor. That was pretty awesome to get from him.

I would love to surprise my FH with a response from Derek Jeter, but I don't know if he does that. I've seen threads about this before, but I have absolutely no idea where to get these addresses lol

How do you even go about sending these invites to famous people? I wonder if Bill Murray would come if I invited him? LOL

Mrs_M... LOVE that you sent one and received one back from Ron Paul!! FH's list of who he wanted to send them to included about a dozen politicians as well as Garrison Keillor. Mine? I just wanted to send one to Bill Murray and John Stamos. Have Mercy!

I'm hoping to get something back from Carrie Fisher, John K. Samson, and Andrew W.K. (he follows me on twitter and sent me an autographed valentine one year!). Our invites to Ovechkin and Katy Perry got returned, so I think the address was incorrect. :/

Have a couple more leftover, might send one to the pres, Mark Hamill, and Andy Cohen.

I want to send one to Gordon Ramsay.FH thinks I am weird now.
