Invitations to Famous People

Wasn't there someone who sent an invite to a sports team too?

FH is trying to send them to David Tennant and Matt Smith

I had no idea this was a thing! @JaKLyn, just told my FH this was a thing people do so I am sure David Tennant will be invited to our wedding. My FH is, in his own words, a "straight, male fangirl" for David Tennant. haha

I always say that I am too jaded for this, because I used to be the official signature forger in a Congressional Office.

I am inviting said Congressman and several other state-level house of representatives members. So, I guess they are local celebrities? But they are just regular people to me!

We are huge DW fans and will be sure to share if we can find any contact info. FH is beyond thrilled he gets to have the themed wedding he wants so even if he just got a card back he would be freaking out.

@GameCox, apparently in the celebrity autograph world, what you're describing is called a "secretarial." It means someone close to the star may sign things like fan mail, etc. and that really the only *real* signature you can ever get has to come RIGHT from the celeb as they are on the red carpet, if you catch them at the airport, etc.

Personally, I feel like the one I got from "Jennifer Lawrence" was signed by someone close to her, and that's still a win in my book! HAHAHA. Ah, the little things.

At least you realize it, Rustic. I am baffled at those who truly think the President signed something for them. But, I am also a bitch, so there's that.

This is super weird...but FH is a brony (meaning he likes my little pony...yes, it's a thing..lol)..anyway, I sent an invite to Lauren Faust, who is the creator of MLP..FH has no idea and I'm hoping she sends us a letter or something.

I also invited Mickey and Minnie and the president. FH thought I was crazy, so if we get back something from Lauren Faust, I'm hoping he will freak.

We also sent ones to the President and First Lady and to Mickey and Minnie Mouse. We haven't heard anything back yet though.

I should invite Brendon Urie, the lead singer of Panic! At the Disco. They are my FH's favorite band and we will be playing tons of their music at the reception!
