Invitations!

Katherine, on February 5, 2021 at 2:46 PM Posted in Planning 0 33
Alright I've definitely come to the conclusion invitations are freaking expensive!! I've looked everywhere like Amazon since they have a lot of pretty ones along with etsy! So far the ones I fall in love with are like $500 or more for 150 invitations! It kills me that most sites everything has to be bought separately! (Invite, rsvp, detail card) It's going to get thrown away after the wedding by guest! So my question is is $235 for 125 invitations still outrageous? I found folding ones that include all the different cards I need and are my colors! My dad is trying to talk me into basic ones from stores and prettying them up. But will people also think it looks tacky? I I definitely prefer having them as my colors not basic white dazzled up.

I got mine from Ann's Bridal Bargains. I spent around $130 for 100 full invitation suites, and they were great quality. Also, I'm not sure how big of a wedding you're having, but you don't need an invitation for every guest, just 1 per couple/family.

Hi Katherine! What site are you looking at for those invites? Minted has All-In-One invitations that are $176 for 125 invites! They have everything included, and the RSVP card can be torn off so your guest can send it in! The one I linked is just an example, but they have several different designs and colors to choose from!

I've always liked Minted because they offer free recipient addressing, but they're also amazing quality. Plus, they usually have sales going on, and discount codes sent to you when you create an account with them!

Ones I found that I liked are from zazzle. My problem is I couldn't find my colors on minted! I will take a quick look again but I know I've checked multiple times. That's an amazing deal so hopefully I can find something!

I'm using the all-in-one invitations from Minted - they're $1.50/each. It's not a full invitation suite, but like you said, most of it just gets thrown away, so I'm just including my wedding website on the bottom of the invitation and then the RSVP postcard comes off to send back. Agreed with PP about numbers, though - make sure you're counting one invitation per couple or family, not per guest!

I think rsvp online is a good idea but my dad is very decided on the actual card since most people are older and or computer alliterate in my family.

They have a lot of great options! My main problem was it wasn't the set on most but the one I like is a set. Just wondering if it's a good deal for 200+ guest.

Pretty! There's a lot that have burgundy, but if you wanted to incorporate the rose gold then you'd have to get one with gold foil, which jacks the price up drastically to like $375 for just 100. 🤦🏼‍♀️😭

I know!! Idk why that color has to be expensive! It's my favorite color so I definitely want it incorporated! I love that color so much my engagement ring has rose gold!

You could maybe get the all in one invites that is offered with just burgundy then maybe do like a rose gold wax seal to seal the invites? I know shops on Etsy sell these, but you might be able to get them at hobby lobby/craft store, or maybe DIY them??

I thought they were really pretty, and I'm thinking about doing them for our invites! I think it would be gorg. to have rose gold for the wax seals, and then open it to a burgundy invite! It adds the color you wants, but also adds a little oomph to the invites!

    That one is really pretty!!

If it were me, I'd find on on Minted (or another website) that I liked that was less expensive, then compare and contrast them! Would I like the one with both colors incorporated in the invite that are also more $$, or would I be just as happy with the ones that have one color incorporated, and the other color in details that may cost me less in the long run.

It's up to you ultimately! But I think either could work!!
