6-8 weeks is standard. There is no reason to go earlier or later. People will figure that something is not quite right if you do.

Ask your caterer when they need a final headcount..typically 3 weeks before and your reply deadline is a week ealier with cushion to allow time for you to track anyone who is late due to the mail not being delivered anywhere these days.

Our wedding was February 22 of this year and our venue needed our guests’ rsvp/meal choices 2 weeks beforehand. Because I needed a buffer period to chase down any stragglers, I set my RSVP due date as 01/25.

Sent out invites 7 weeks before the RSVP date since a lot of our guests lived across the country and it would take a week for them to receive so it gave them 6 weeks to respond via our website. We also didn’t want to send it out later and get it lost in the sea of holiday cards/mail.

We sent them out to arrive in people's homes at 8 weeks, So mailed at 10 weeks overseas and remote areas, and mailed under 9 weeks in US. With RSVP date 25 days before the wedding, numbers due 15 days ahead.

Plan on mailing them out mid January with a deadline of 2/28. We need the final headcount by 3/5 which is when our final payment is due. Wedding is 4/3/21.

For my minimony we did electronic invites 6 weeks before, for our big wedding we will do the standard 8 weeks.

We sent our invites a little earlier than normal for our original date (around 10-12 weeks before), since we're doing a semi-destination wedding and I wanted to give people time to make flights reservations/travel plans, but I otherwise recommend sending them 6-8 weeks ahead of time.

Welcome! I was told to not send them in December since it might get mixed up or tossed with Christmas cards.

We actually sent ours out a little bit earlier than we intended just because we knew we needed time to sort everything out and because they are always late people who respond. It really also depends on when your venue and vendors need final counts by. But I want to say that I sent my invitations out about 3 1/2 months before my date

We just sent out our invites a few days ago. Our final head count is due a month prior so we wanted to make sure that our guests had ample time to rsvp. Plus, we didn't want to take the chance of mail taking longer than usual due to covid and people not getting their invites before the venue's final head count deadline.

Normally, most couples send their invitations out 6-8 weeks before the wedding. My husband and I got married on February 29, 2020 and we sent our invitations out the last week of November 2019, with our RSVP date of January 15, 2020. We did it about 3 months out b/c we had a lot of out-of-state guests and wanted to make sure they were able to ensure their days off from work for travel, and we wanted to make sure they had enough time to finalize their travel plans.

That’s what I was thinking to I keep seeing 6-8 weeks prior but a lot of our family coming from out of town and would need to take off from work etc. So I wanted to make sure I give them plenty enough time in advance to do so.

In that situation, you send out save the dates 6-10 months prior.
