Yes! Save the dates 6-8 months before the wedding. Invitations 6-8 weeks before.

Yes, save the dates are optional but if you send them they go out 6-12 months before the wedding and typically have the couples names, the date, and the town/city & state of the wedding, and the website if the couples have one. Invites go out 2-3 months in advance and have more information.

Yes. Unless you're my FSIL and just throw them in the same envelope. (Dont do that)

I did! Since 80% of my guests were out of state!


I sent a save the date 10 months before and invites 3-5 months before. Since it was quite a bit before the wedding, I am having to text some people to remind them to RSVP.
