Invite with disclaimer

Sydney, on September 27, 2020 at 5:14 PM Posted in Planning 0 7
Hi guys! I’m looking to put some sort of disclaimer on our invites stating that we totally understand if people are not comfortable attending due to Covid. Does anyone have a cute saying for this??

That's better left to word of mouth

I would not put anything on the invitation… But if you have a website I would definitely put it on the website.

I personally wouldn’t put it on the invitation itself. Maybe do a Covid-19 Information insert and add the precautions you and your venue(s) are taking and a cute little saying about understanding if people don’t feel safe. Also add the information to your website, and/or word of mouth.

Sorry I don’t have a cute saying...but maybe lead with
We fully understand everyone’s concern for their personally safety during the COVID-19 Pandemic and are taking the following precautions on our wedding day...
Then list what the precautions are.

You can put this information on an insert/details card as well as your wedding website. I don't have a cute saying or anything, and we kept things pretty brief:

I think that concept is already understood. It doesn’t seem like something that needs to be written out.

Many people have been adding inserts, as Eri did.

The most common wording seems to center around, "we are very concerned with the safety of our guests and are monitoring local conditions and restrictions. We will keep you updated on our website" - or something like that.

I agree with some previous comments, you can leave it off the invitation, but put it on the website. An invitation is just an invitation, it's not an obligation. Smiley smile

Wording: "Of course, we totally understand if you are not comfortable with attending in-person due to concerns about Covid safety. We appreciate you considering the invitation."
