Invites

Curious if anyone is ordering their invites 5 months ahead? I want to get it done and have them ready to go by later august. I am a little hesitant given covid that there will be some sudden cancellation again and then I’ll be out a ton of money. What have others done?

Where are you ordering from? I’ll be sending out beginning of august but I’m not worried about it taking awhile

I have did my invitations early like I got them last month and started sending them out this month. I rather have them out and I can start receiving some of my RSVPs back. But I am having just alittle problem my guest have not notified me that they have moved. But I did reach out to ones on our guest on my side and then I told my FH to contact his side add we did. Some have came back I was really mad so now I had to reorder more envelopes and tedend them out

I kind of did mine early as well. Wedding is May 21st, we wanted the RSVP deadline to be April 9, and then with slow mail and everything we decided to mail end of Feb. We had been meeting our stationer since Nov 2021 about them, so we were ready to order right after New Years. I’d say go for it.
To be honest, with the way COVID is going, I don’t see another shut down happening in the US. Vaccines and treatment have improved. Believe me, I was scared too 🙂 (I’m still limiting eating out to places with outdoor seating only at least until the wedding). But I would say it’s going to all be fine and you should still be able to have it this August

I did but only because it was for a destination wedding. I wanted to give people ample time to make travel and work arrangements. We didn’t send out save the dates because the wedding was about 8 months away. Also, during this time last year with Covid in full blast, USPS was so behind in delivering mail.

Not sure yet Zazzle or wedding wire. Not as happy with the paper and look of Zazzle samples. I just kind of want to cross it off my list even though I have time.

I will try to think along those lines. Hope so. Wedding is Oct 10 so want to send the invites in august. You never know with the mail. I like your timeline.

Plus the venue wants a count two weeks ahead and I feel like I need to know two weeks before that so I can reach out to people if needed.

Yes I’m getting married Oct 2022 and I’ve already ordered my invites/not going to be sending them out till end of august but it’s still nice to have them and be able to work on them slowly.

I don't think there's any harm in ordering them early. When we ordered our save the dates we had an issue that added about 2.5 weeks of waiting time before we received them, so having a cushion for issues with printing, shipping, etc. is a good idea in my book. Then they'll be ready to go when you want to send them out.

I’m going to order mine in the next few weeks and won’t be mailing them until the middle of July ( wedding is September 17th!) One less thing to check off the list ! 🤗
