Irrational invitation stress..and 100 Days!

MrsRies&Love, on January 24, 2018 at 8:04 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 18

I finished assembling most of my invitations last night. And then I immediate panicked and wanted to rip them all open to make sure I didn't forget to put anything in any of them. Anyone else feel this? It drove me crazy all night, and I'm normally the down to earth girl who doesn't stress much. But wow, that anxiety was so real last night. I'm just hoping every envelope has everything in it!

Also - today marks 100 days until we get married! Who else is celebrating 100 days?? Smiley laugh Smiley heart

I didn't even seal mine until like a an hour before we dropped them off at the post office because I was freaking out I'd forgotten something.

Haha! I should have done that. I started to try and open up some of the ones that I just sealed, but they were too far gone to reopen. Just going to drop them off in a few weeks and try to let it go.

We have a line on our invitations that say # out of # seats reserved, or something along those lines. Most of our invitations are going out to couples. We have 3 invitations that are going out to a family of 3, and two single people (not receiving a plus one, FH's grandmother and her best friend that live together, would be each other's "plus one" anyway). I started panicking as soon as envelopes were sealed that we gave someone else 3 seats, or were sending a single seat to a couple. My mother helped me with invitations and handed me those 3 to seal myself and I still was second guessing myself. I just let it go, I was just getting myself worked up over nothing. If I did screw it up it's an easy enough fix.

This is seriously the same thing I did! We also numbered the back of our rsvp cards to keep track of rsvps when they come back. I was so worried that I was going to write "we have reserved 32 seats in your honor" instead of writing the specific rsvp # on the back of the card. I really hope I didn't haha

Haha! we've been engaged for a while now, so everything was planned. I'm surprised I made it this long before finally addressing and assembling them. Now I only have to wait a month to send them out Smiley tongue

We're getting so close though! I feel like I'm been in wedding planning limbo forever, it's fun to actually start getting to the "season"

Myself! Haha. I did all the design work and designed the mountain-scape layout (measured, cut, adjusted, etc until I had it perfect). I got the invite/inserts printed at Cards and Pockets and also purchased all the envelopes and invite mat there as well. Then I did all 280 mountain die cuts myself with my Cameo (kill me) 😂

I feel like I'm going to be the exact same way. I was already freaking out sending out STDs that I had forgot to stuff all the envelopes and that some might just be empty. FH was being sweet and sealed them all one day while I was at work, but I didn't have the heart to tell him how anxious that made me. We already got one returned back to us that was sent without an address 😂

To avoid invitation assembly stress, as my invitations are going to take many stages of assembly (I made my own belly bands, I'm addressing the invitations by hand myself, we are including RD and Day-After Brunch invites with the wedding invitation suite, wax steals are involved, and I'm weighting the envelopes myself before placing on the stamps), I'm assembling them in stages and started a year before the wedding date. No joke, I purchased the invitations a year out in September 2017 (my wedding is in October 2018). Granted, I purchased them that early because we had fallen in love with a Wedding Paper Divas invitation design and wanted to purchase the invitations just in case that design got retired (which it did) after the Shutterfly merger.

100 days here too! I purchased my invitations through Minted on cyber Monday which allowed me to "buy now and personalize later"...I just finally finished personalizing them. I definitely overthought how the envelopes should be addressed especially for some of our "special cases".

I bought the RSVP cards last week and got a black light pen to mark the backs, I know that when I stuff the envelopes I know I'm going to check, double check and then triple check to make sure the correct number RSVP card gets in the right envelope.

Nope! Im just as crazy.... I weighed all mine to make sure they were the same weight. If I forgot to stuff something, it would have been lighter. I’m stressing about the silliest things lately
