Is 9 People at 60inch Round Table Doable?

Chantelle, on September 25, 2021 at 1:11 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12
Just based on our guest count and venue space logistics, a few of our guest tables kinda have to have 9 people. Has anyone sat 9 guests at 60 inch round, did it work out okay? Or has anyone been seated as 9 person group at 60inch round, were you still comfortable enough? Thanks in advance

What's the Covid/distancing protocol for your wedding? I'm suddenly very aware of space around me now. How many tables have to have 9? I'd add an extra table.

We had a table of 9 and they all said it was fine. It was one group of friends that all knew each other really well and the ninth person just happened to be H’s one single friend that came.

Our venue uses 60” rounds and says they fit 10, though I’ve seen pictures and that’s definitely a tight squeeze. We’re planning on mostly tables of 8 but a few will have to have 9 people. I think it will be okay!

I believe these tables can fit up to 10 but for covid reasons it may be best to allow your guests some room and not have them on top of one another especially if tables aren’t arranged by households. People definitely want space these days. The max people we did at our 60 inch tables were 6-7.

Really all depends on the place setting. I would say 9 at a 60 inch round is too many. There are already two "bad" seats with the table legs. Is it possible to get 72 inch round tables? Bc 9 at a 72 inch round table works better

Update: The venue has agreed to make the 9 person/9 chair tables 72 inch round! Yay! So most of our tables will be 60 inch rounds of 8 people, and a few tables will be 72 inch rounds of 9. So happy it worked out Smiley smile

60 inch tables are best for 8 seats. But 9 can squeeze in with less elbow room.

60” fits 8 comfortably. 10 would be too tight, IMO
